    Warranty information (from Shire)

    Product Warranty:
    - Your purchase is covered for defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from first use or 6 months from delivery, whichever comes first.
    - This warranty is valid only if the product is properly installed and maintained.
    Exclusions:
    - The warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, or failure to follow assembly instructions.
    - Any changes to the product’s design to meet safety requirements won’t affect the warranty.
    Claim Process:
    - If your product has any issues, notify us within 7 days of delivery or, for hidden defects, within a reasonable time after discovering them.
    - If valid, we will replace or refund the product. No further claims can be made.
    Third-Party Costs:
    - Please inspect your order before using third-party installers. We are not responsible for any costs due to late or incomplete deliveries.
    Anti-Rot Guarantee:
    - Our garden buildings come with a 10-year anti-rot guarantee, covering fungal decay and insect damage.
    - To keep this valid, treat the building with high-quality timber preservative before or shortly after installation and repeat as needed.
    Anti-Rot Exclusions:
    - The guarantee doesn’t cover natural timber changes like warping or splitting, damage from misuse, glazing, joinery, or roofing felt.
    Guarantee Validity:
    - The guarantee is void if the building is not installed on a firm, level base, has been altered, or not maintained properly (e.g., sealing joints or treating the wood annually).
    UK Only:
    - This warranty and guarantee are valid only within the UK.

    Maintenance & Care

    This will be included in your delivery

    • Ensure your base is level and firm
    • Ensure the building is not sitting directly on the ground using a damp proof membrane or the optional timber base
    • Ensure every piece of timber and surface, especially that is hidden upon assembly, is treated with a top-quality wood preservative at least twice (before assembly). Turn the panels upside down whilst painting so the treatment runs into the seams. 
    • Garden buildings are not waterproof, therefore you must seal between all the panels with a silicone-based sealant
    • Visually check for weather damage
    • Check and replace if necessary any silicone sealant if used on your building
    • Check the roofing material for wear
    • The doors and windows may require periodical adjustment
    • During extremely hot periods, humidity your building to prevent the timber from drying out

    Delivery

    We aim to get your order to you as swiftly as possible, with delivery typically occurring within 7-14 days. If you have ordered installation, please allow an additional 2-4 weeks for our team at Shire to arrange the necessary labour. We appreciate your patience and are committed to delivering the best set up experience for you!

    The item will be shipped directly from the manufacturer. Once the order is processed, typically within 2 days of order placement, Shire will send an automated text or email to schedule your preferred delivery date. They typically deliver between 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Deliveries do not generally occur during the weekends and public holidays. Customers will be contacted at least 24 hours before delivery, confirming the date of delivery. Unfortunately, they may not be able to specify the time.

    The drivers usually use flatbed trucks for delivery. If you have restricted access and delivery on a smaller vehicle would be better, please contact the manufacturer here. They normally arrange this at no additional cost. 

    Please note that their deliveries are curb-side only. This means that your order will be delivered to the nearest accessible point on your property, typically the end of your driveway or the curb. The delivery team will not bring the item inside your home or onto your property beyond this point. Please arrange for private help to move the item to your desired location. Please also ensure that someone is available to receive and inspect the delivery upon arrival. 

    The product is delivered in flat packed, weatherproof wrapping, with full DIY instructions. The package can stand outside for a reasonable time. 

    Delivery of log cabins may be made on an 18-ton truck with a crane. There must be sufficient space for the vehicle to operate. If in doubt, please contact the manufacturer here

    Shire offers FREE delivery to the majority of postcodes in mainland UK, please refer to the map (red zones).

    Please note that delivery is NOT available to the following postcodes: BT, GY, HS, IM, IV14+, JE, KW , PA20-78, PH19-44, ZE (yellow zones on the map)

    Returns

    We want you to be happy with your purchase! If for any reason you'd like to return an item, you have 14 days from the delivery date to do so (unless it's a bespoke item).

    Simply email us to request a return, and we’d appreciate it if you could share the reason for the return to help us improve our services.

    To qualify for a full refund, the item should not have been treated or altered in any way.

    Please ensure that the goods are in the same condition as when they arrived and that you take care of them while they're in your possession.

    If the item was delivered flat-packed, it must be returned in the same condition, including complete disassembly. Make sure the items are securely packaged to prevent damage during transit.

    If the goods show signs of damage or wear and tear that make them unsellable as new, this may affect the refund amount.

    You can easily go online to schedule a convenient day for collection, just as you did when booking the delivery.

    In some cases, there may be a fee for collecting cancelled goods. Please note that Shire does not make any profit from these fees—they simply cover the direct cost of the collection service. If a collection fee applies, we will inform you as soon as possible. Any applicable charges will be deducted from your refund.

    Shire normally processes refunds within 30 days once approved.
